Contribution to the IIGA:
Dick was the Team Manager for Aland at the inaugural Inter-Island Games in the Isle of Man in 1985. He was Chairman of the Organising Committees for both the 1991 and 2009 Games in Aland. He was instrumental in introducing the Water Ceremony to the 1991 Games and which has since become a Games tradition as well as the building of the permanent memorial Fountain for the 2009 Games.
