Family: Married Sue in 1972 and has 2 daughters, Michelle & Rachel.

Sporting background: Eric’s sporting background is primarily in Badminton in which he represented Guernsey at Junior, Senior and Veterans level and played for the first Dorset County team in England.  He was President of the Guernsey Badminton Association for 6 years.  He took up golf in 1998 and now plays off a 13 handicap and also enjoys participating in Snooker and Tennis.   Eric enjoys ‘having a go’ at any sport.

Profession: Eric retired from being a Business Bank Manager with HSBC in 2000 after 33 years. Since then he has become involved in a Body and Skincare Clinic, Young Enterprise, Chairs a Forum that represents the Construction Industry in Guernsey, sits on the Juvenile Court of Guernsey and is the Treasurer of his local Golf Club.

Hobbies beside Sport: Eric enjoys playing MahJong once a week and doing the occasional bit of gardening.

IGA history:  Eric was elected as Treasurer of the IIGA in 2001.  His previous experience of the Games, other than attending the Isle of Wight, Gibraltar and Jersey Games, was being on the Bid Committee for the 2003 Games in Guernsey.

Vision for the IGA: To help the IGA build on the excellent foundations already in place and to develop the professionalism of the Games whilst ensuring the motto of the 'Friendly Games' is always to the forefront.
