International Island Games Association

Alan Cross, the Chairman of the International Island Games Association (IGA) wishes to announce the resignation of its General Secretary, Mr. Steve Cooil, as of 30th September 2000.

He is retiring from this position because, as a result of a recent career move, he has insufficient time to carry out the duties required of the General Secretary.

Mr. Cooil has been employed as the part-time General Secretary since 1993 and was largely responsible for establishing the IGA Office and Headquarters in Athol Street, Douglas.

The Association wishes to express its gratitude to him for the contribution that he has made to the success of the Island Games during his period in post.
