International Island Games Association

The International Island Games Association (IGA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Kay Batty (Isle of Man) as its General Secretary following the resignation of Mr. Steve Cooil in September 2000.

Mrs. Batty has recently accepted the offer of this ten month contract as General Secretary to the IGA, such contract will terminate on 31st August 2001. Mrs. Batty has a keen interest in sport in general with a particular involvement in swimming as National Coach to the Isle of Man Swim Team. She was appointed as Assistant to the IGA General Secretary on 1st September 1998 and has, since her appointment, covered most effectively for Steve Cooil during extended periods of sick leave. Members of the International Executive Committee were unanimous in their decision to appoint Mrs. Kay Batty to this most important administrative role within the Association.

With the additional office support of NatWest offshore Bank employee Mr. Terry Quayle, the IGA Headquarters in Athol Street, Douglas, Isle of Man is open for business every weekday morning i.e. Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7.45 a.m. to 1.30 p.m; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.
