IGA Congratulate NatWest on winning Marketing award
for their 2005 Games campaign.

The NatWest Marketing team has won the award for the Best Use of New Media at this year's Chartered Institute of Marketing Jersey Awards for their NatWest Island Games campaign.

The internet was used extensively this year to promote the Games and NatWest's sponsorship. In addition to placing advertising about the Games in traditional media like TV, radio and newspapers, the frequent use of the Games logo meant that NatWest also secured significant coverage on Internet news sites.

In addition, the team also used the Bank's own intranet to keep staff informed about the progress of the Games while they were happening, and to follow up after the event closed.

Lastly, NatWest sponsored and managed the production of the promotional DVD for the Games to be used by member islands to explain what the Games is about and support them in their efforts to raise funding for their 2006 teams.

The team has already begun work on branding and advertising plans for the Rhodes Games in 2007, by supporting the Rhodes Organising Committee in the production of a leaflet about the 2007 Games, which will be used at tourism exhibitions around Europe during the next few months.
